• Precautions when using

Correct opening and closing is the key to umbrella maintenance
When opening an umbrella, pull the handle gently to avoid tearing the ribs or the umbrella surface with excessive force. For automatic umbrellas, follow the correct button operation and do not force the ribs to expand or retract.
When closing the umbrella, try to flatten the umbrella surface before storing it to prevent the umbrella surface from folding without being arranged, making it difficult to smooth out the wrinkles.
Avoid harsh environments
In strong winds, try to minimize the use of umbrellas. Strong winds may blow over umbrellas and deform the ribs. If used in strong winds, the umbrella should be tilted to let the wind blow along the umbrella surface to reduce the pressure of the wind on the umbrella.
Don’t expose the umbrella directly to the sun after opening it for a long time in the rain. Sudden cold and hot weather can easily age the material of the umbrella surface. For example, the plastic umbrella surface may become brittle, and the cloth umbrella may fade and deform.

• Storage and maintenance

Dry storage
After use, the umbrella should be dried to ensure that the umbrella and ribs are completely dry before storage. If the umbrella is stored wet, it is easy to breed mold, moldy umbrella, and may corrode the ribs.
Umbrellas can be placed in a well-ventilated place, such as the corner of the balcony or on a special umbrella stand to dry.
Correct folding
For folding umbrellas, fold them according to the structure of the ribs. Generally, start from the tip of the umbrella and fold the ribs neatly one by one to avoid the ribs from being staggered and messy, so as not to cause obstruction or damage to the rib structure when opening next time.
Do not over-squeeze the folded umbrella, and try to keep it in its original shape for storage.

• Cleaning and maintenance

Regular cleaning
If the umbrella surface is dirty, it should be cleaned in time. For cloth umbrellas, you can gently wipe the umbrella surface with a damp cloth to remove dust and stains. If the stains are stubborn, you can use a mild detergent, such as dishwashing liquid, dilute it with water, and gently wipe it with a soft cloth dipped in the solution, and then wipe it clean with clean water.
For plastic umbrellas, you can wipe them with a damp cloth dipped in a small amount of white vinegar, which can both remove dirt and disinfect.
Umbrella rib cleaning
Occasionally check the joints of the umbrella ribs for debris or rust. If there is debris, you can gently brush it off with a small brush. If rust is found, you can gently polish the rusted area with sandpaper, and then apply a layer of anti-rust oil or lubricating oil to maintain the flexibility of the umbrella ribs.
